Lamborghini and McLaren Osaka

The things and shops that I randomly run into while out and about in Osaka still surprises me. This one takes the cake. I’m just walking along the city street toward the train station on my way home from Osaka, and lo and behold! A Lamborghini dealer!

Beautiful Gallardo! Since coming to Japan last year, I think I have seen way more Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, and Bentley on the road than the whole time I have been living in the US. This dealership was already closed when I walked by hence the darkness. I couldn’t see a price tag anywhere but this is one of those things that if you have to ask the price, then you probably couldn’t afford it ^^;.

Sweeeet…

This was a week after New Years but the holiday lights are still up so snapped a few shots :)

Just when I thought I saw everything, I continued on my way and ran into a McLaren dealer just a couple of blocks away from the Lamborghini dealer! This is the company responsible for the legendary McLaren F1.

First time seeing an F1 car in person. It doesn’t look the least bit comfortable for the driver at all…

Seeing expensive cars running around and dealerships like McLaren here makes me wonder… exactly just how affluent are some of the people here in Osaka?

The car needs a better name than MP4-12C. It just doesn’t… ring well. This dealership was still open at the time but I didn’t dare to enter ^^;. Being a poor college student, I feel like I don’t even have the right to walk inside and it would’ve been totally embarrassing when the receptionist greets (or most likely ignore) me then laugh me out door XD

It sure would be nice to be able to drive one of these 6-figure cars somehow but I think I’m content with just being able to see these cars in person; I’ve never desired to own of these cars. For something this small to cost as much as a house, it must be one hell of a drive!

  1. I’m surprised that lambo dealer didn’t have an Aventador in it… O.o With the way that thing looks, I don’t think anyone could stomach to look at another Lamborghini besides it again… ^^:

    • Yea… I was wondering why that car was missing. I guess they don’t want to risk people stealing it since the only security to that dealership was a locked glass door xD

  2. Oh man! Sorry to keep bugging you, but this reminded me of the time I suddenly noticed the Aston Martin dealership right next door to my hotel in Asakasa, Tokyo, just totally chillin’ in the ground floor of a large office builing. I was like, “whaaaaa . . . !?!” Here’s a pic.

    • Nice! That is pretty common here too. You can find a lot of car dealers right next or even built right into the hotels.

  3. Oh that sweet sweet coat of metallic blue. If there’s one thing I can appreciate about them, it’s that beautiful coat of paint and their out of the ordinary design. Okay, that’s 2 things. XP

I don’t think the receptionist would ignore you. Selling a six figure car must have been pretty lonely since only big bosses can afford it. But yeah, she’ll most probably think you’re just another poor car enthusiast.

    • I was pretty fond of that blue on the MacLaren myself :D Put blue on any car and it just makes it look so much better

Maybe I’ll go back again if I ever put on a suit xD

  4. Great Lambo pics and the last car in the post is the winner for me. Great design and nice color. But maybe it’s because I like metallic blue color on cars, when I was searching for my Mazda 323 i wanted to have it in this color but with no resoult at that time. Maybe when I will buy next car I will have more luck :D

Say hi!
